Adoption Process

TO ADOPT AN ANIMAL FROM US READ BELOW.

1. Adopters must fill out an adoption application and sign an adoption agreement BEFORE meeting the animal and be approved before accepting the animal. If you cannot fill it in on a computer than please mail it to us.
2. Have a home visit.  If you live outside of Clovis New Mexico you will need to provide photos or a video of your home and yard where your pet will be spending its time.
3. Give a good vet reference and a good personal reference.  All references will be verified.  Not all applicants will be approved.

4. Adopters must have a fully fenced and secure yard. No exception.

5. No chaining of any dog is an acceptable way of containing a dog in a yard and you will not be approved to adopt our dogs.  Chaining will not be tolerated.  If you adopt a dog from us and you intend on chaining it in the yard,  please leave our site now because you will not be approved.  A dog is suppose to be part of the family,  not tied up in the yard.

Please note:  we will not place a dog in your home if your current pets have not been sterilized or are not current on its vaccines.

Please read the application’s policy on adopting an animal thoroughly.  All forms that are submitted for approval need to be read and fully understood and by signing them you agree to the conditions of  adoption.  These forms are legal binding documents  and must be treated as such.

If  for a good reason you cannot keep the animal that you adopt from us we do charge a re-home fee.

Adopters and donors can pay through our PayPal merchant account or can mail their adoption donation fee to. The general fee for adopting one of our dogs or cats is an $85.00 donation except if otherwise noted. Your adoption donation fee is tax deductible.  We are a federal tax exempt 501c3 animal rescue charity.
