March 2020 Update~

Dear Readers,

It’s five days into March, so I am a little late with this update. To say things have been busy would be an understatement. First, copy edits for The Cowboy’s Amish Haven came in, and I was busy fixing and returning the file. And then the great Texas freeze hit. I was lucky enough to be on the edge of the state that wasn’t affected by the outages. And while we managed to keep heat and electric, I lost water for 4 days and a few pipes burst in the cold, so getting all that repaired took some time. All in all, I am grateful we got through it will as little damage as we did, though I will be quaking a bit when I open the propane bill.

As for February, it wasn’t the best month. In the wake of my accident, I find I am still struggling with depression. I just can’t seem to pull everything back to normal. I am hoping this phase will pass, as I should be working on a new book now that my Love Inspired Debut is heading toward the finish line and will be released in late August. Don’t get me wrong. I have a lot of blessings in my life and I am thankful every day I have a home, a job and the ability to get by in this world when others are struggling. I do my best to help where I can when I see the need. But sometimes I just can’t shake that dark cloud in my head and it often gets the better of me. I’m trying, though, and hope that March will bring brighter, warmer days as we head toward spring.

That’s about all to tell. Hoping you all stay well and warm. And keep on reading!

Cheers,

Devyn
